Team Manager of Wa Power Sporting Club, Abdulai Abdul Hafiz, has extended support to two young fans who cycled 45 kilometres from Wa to Nadowli to watch their club in action last weekend.
The boys, Abdul Shakur and Abdul Fatawu, undertook the long and risky trip to witness Wa Power’s clash with TF Exponential FC in the Division One League.
Moved by their passion, Mr. Abdul Hafiz fulfilled his promise by presenting them with brand-new bicycles and assured them of continued assistance whenever necessary.
He also cautioned the youngsters against embarking on such risky journeys again, urging them to always seek their parents’ consent before taking part in similar activities.
Both families were also counselled and advised not to punish the boys for their adventurous act.
The thrilling encounter between Wa Power SC and TF Exponential FC ended in a goalless draw — the first regional derby of the season.
Mr. Abdul Hafiz, known across the Upper West Region for his charitable initiatives, reaffirmed his commitment to supporting young fans and promoting community engagement through football.
