Eight suspects have been arrested in Navrongo following a special anti-crime operation by the Divisional Police Command as part of heightened security measures ahead of the Christmas festivities.
The operation, conducted on Wednesday, December 18, 2025, targeted identified crime-prone areas and hotspots within the Navrongo township, with the aim of curbing criminal activity and ensuring public safety during the festive season.
According to the police, the exercise commenced at about 6:00 p.m. and led to the arrest of eight individuals suspected to be involved in various criminal activities.

The suspects are Mohammed Nasiru, 35; Pwoawuvi Isaac, 24; Roger Kansah, 35; Akinkana Akanpiiba, 30; Kingsley Adafula, 22; Abraham Akanporise, 25; Zakaria Mohammed, 25; and Clinton Atinmoliga, 25.
Items retrieved during the operation include tramadol tablets, seven pairs of scissors, a mobile phone, a television set, and a motorcycle, all believed to be connected to criminal activity.
The suspects are currently in police custody and undergoing screening.

Those found culpable will be processed and arraigned before the court in accordance with the law.
The Ghana Police Service has reiterated its commitment to maintaining law and order throughout the Christmas period and has urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station.
