The National Para Athletics Association, in collaboration with the National Paralympic Committee (NPC) of Ghana, has continued its nationwide talent identification initiative to discover and nurture future para athletes.
The second edition of the Zone Two Talent Identification Programme was held on Saturday, 30 August 2025, at the Ho Sports Stadium in the Volta Region.
More than 50 prospective athletes from Ho and nearby communities took part in a series of track and field trials, as well as warm-up exercises, led by coaches Sowah and former Paralympian Botsyo Nkegbe.
Following the assessments, 14 athletes who showed outstanding promise were selected to join a national training programme.
The initiative is designed to develop their skills with the aim of preparing them for future competitions at both national and international level.
The Association expressed its appreciation to the NPC and its president, Samson Deen, for their continued support in developing para sports across the country.
