The One-Eighth Stage of the 2025 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) gets underway today, Sunday, October 26, with 27 senior high schools from across Ghana stepping into the spotlight to vie for a place in the quarterfinals of the nation’s leading academic contest.
Over three thrilling days from October 26 to October 28, this knockout stage will challenge the schools to demonstrate their mastery, accuracy, and quick thinking in Science and Mathematics.
The journey to the One-Eighth Stage began with the preliminary rounds, held from Monday, October 20 to Thursday, October 24, where 147 schools competed vigorously for a place in the next phase.
After four days of high-stakes contests, marked by impressive displays of knowledge and spirited rivalry, the field was trimmed from 174 schools to the 27 now set to face the challenges of the One-Eighth Stage.
