Madina came alive on Saturday, 15 November 2025, as the vibrant community gathered for the highly anticipated Madina Community Football Tournament.
Organised by PrideSpins in collaboration with GHAM’S Wellness Centre, the one-day event combined the excitement of grassroots football with important health and social awareness initiatives, drawing hundreds of spectators and participants to the local pitch.
In a fiercely contested final, Madina Stars emerged victorious, defeating Jet Eleven to claim the championship title. Alonso 11 secured third place after a strong performance throughout the knockout stages.

Individual honours went to:
• Top Scorer: Loko (Madina Stars), whose clinical finishing lit up the tournament.
• Player of the Tournament: Taufik Sulaiman (Alonso 11), recognised for his outstanding skill, leadership, and sportsmanship.
Beyond the football, the event placed a strong emphasis on community well-being. GHAM’s Wellness Centre delivered an impactful talk on drug abuse prevention, educating players and spectators alike on the dangers of substance misuse and available support resources.

Health outreach was another highlight, with the Adenta Mountain View Lions Club providing free health screenings to attendees, checking blood pressure, glucose levels, and offering general wellness advice.
Fun side activities organised by PrideSpins amplified the festive atmosphere. Participants and fans tried their luck in various games walking away with exciting prizes including flat-screen televisions, wireless headsets, portable speakers, and exclusive branded merchandise.
Speaking after the final whistle, PrideSpins Country Manager, Kwadwo Opoku Amaning-Kwateng, said, “This tournament is more than just football – it’s about bringing Madina together, promoting healthy lifestyles, and giving our youth positive outlets to shine. We’re proud to partner with GHAM’S Wellness Centre and grateful to the Lions and everyone else who made the day a success.”

The PrideSpins Community Football Tournament has once again proven to be a cornerstone event for local unity, sportsmanship, and public health awareness. This was PrideSpins’ 3rd edition of the competition; the first edition took place at Accra Newtown and the second at Teshie in October.
As PrideSpins continues to expand its community impact, plans are already underway for an even bigger edition in 2026.
Congratulations to Madina Stars and all the teams for an unforgettable day of football and community spirit!
