
Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa (MP), has held discussions with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Dhakel, ahead of the upcoming visit of the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia, Eng. Waleed Bin Abdul-Karim Al-Khereiji.
The Vice Minister is expected to lead the Saudi delegation for Political Consultations between Ghana and Saudi Arabia.
The consultation aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation in key areas, including energy (oil and gas), air transport, education, and collaboration with the King Salman Institute.

During the meeting, Ambassador Al-Dhakel expressed appreciation to Ghana for its continued support for Saudi Arabia at major international platforms such as the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) and the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO).
To further enhance economic collaboration, the Saudi Vice Minister will be accompanied by a business delegation to engage Ghanaian counterparts in Business-to-Business (B2B) discussions.
The session is expected to explore new trade and investment opportunities between the private sectors of the two countries.
