Young footballers in Ghana will have another opportunity to showcase their talent when the fourth edition of the SBE Cup takes place from March 16 to 18 at the SMAC Stadium in Accra.
The three-day grassroots tournament will feature eight teams and is expected to attract international scouts searching for promising young players.
Founded by Swiss-based SBE Management in partnership with Ghana’s Empire Sports Agency, the competition aims to create a pathway for talented youngsters to secure professional opportunities in Europe.
Scouts from several leading European clubs are expected to attend, including Chelsea FC, Villarreal CF, FC Basel, AFC Ajax, SL Benfica and KRC Genk.
Teams taking part in the tournament include Right to Dream, SMAC Soccer Club, Benab, Adabraka Elders, Kotoku Shining Stars, Buem Stars, JP Academy and defending champions Dansoman Liberty.
The event is spearheaded by DBJ Empire, led by its chief executive and FIFA-licensed agent Daniel Boifio Junior.
It grown into an important showcase for grassroots football in Ghana, helping young players connect with clubs and scouts from across Europe.
