The Chief Executive Officer of the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC), Samantha Cohen CVO OBE, has paid a courtesy call on the CEO of the Millennium Development Authority (MiDA), Alexander Kofi-Mensah Mould, to discuss areas of mutual interest.
The visit was part of efforts to deepen cooperation between the two institutions, particularly in agricultural investment.

Ms Cohen was accompanied by the Head of Mission of CWEIC in Ghana, John Apea.
Discussions at the meeting focused on opportunities for collaboration to attract private-sector investment into Ghana’s agricultural sector, with an emphasis on improving productivity, value addition, and agribusiness development.

Mr Mould highlighted MiDA’s mandate to promote inclusive economic growth through targeted investment interventions.
He noted that partnerships with international investment bodies such as CWEIC could help mobilise resources to support Ghana’s development priorities.

Ms Cohen reaffirmed CWEIC’s commitment to facilitating investment across Commonwealth countries and expressed interest in supporting Ghana’s efforts to grow its agricultural economy through sustainable, impactful investments.
The meeting concluded with an agreement to explore practical steps to strengthen collaboration in areas of mutual benefit, particularly in the agriculture sector.
