The President of Groupe Nduom (GN), Ghana and Vice-Chairman of the Board of the Coconut Grove Regency Hotel, Dr Nana Kweku Nduom, has hailed the hotel’s staff as the cornerstone of its success, describing the institution as a “living, breathing entity” driven by the dedication, professionalism, and passion of its employees.
Dr Nduom made the remarks while addressing management and staff at the hotel’s Annual Staff Party and Awards Dinner Dance held on Saturday, January 18.
The event, which recognises outstanding performance across departments, also serves to celebrate teamwork and reinforce bonds among employees.
“Hospitality is not just about beautiful rooms or fine dining. It is about service, consistency, and making every guest feel welcome, valued, and at home,” Dr Nduom said.
He emphasised that the awards presented during the evening were more than certificates or citations, describing them as symbols of excellence, discipline, teamwork, and pride in one’s work.
He noted that winners were recognised not only for their contributions in guest-facing roles but also for the dedication and care displayed by those working behind the scenes.
“Even if they aren’t directly client-facing, you can see the love they put into their work. Management and colleagues respect and recognise that, and the voting reflects this,” he added.
Dr Nduom highlighted that the standard of hospitality at Coconut Grove Regency is maintained across all departments, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, conferencing, security, maintenance, transport, and accounts.
“Each role matters and each contribution counts,” he said, praising the entire workforce for upholding the hotel’s reputation for exceptional service.
Addressing those who received awards, Dr Nduom congratulated them for setting a benchmark for others to follow. He also reassured staff who were not recognised that their efforts remain essential and highly valued.
“At Groupe Nduom, we believe that people are our greatest asset. Our commitment is to continue investing in this hotel, its future, and the growth and well-being of its staff. When you grow, the hotel grows. And when the hotel grows, we all succeed together,” he said.
Dr Nduom urged staff to celebrate their achievements, strengthen team bonds, and look forward to an even brighter future for Coconut Grove Regency Hotel.
“Thank you for your hard work, your loyalty, and your excellence,” he stated, drawing enthusiastic applause from employees and management alike.
