Asante Kotoko head coach Karim Zito is confident of handing Wydad Athletic Club a defeat in Morocco and ultimately reversing the score in the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round.
Joseph Bakasu’s 47th-minute strike was enough to hand the Moroccans the advantage at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The defeat was Kotoko’s first in all competitions this season.
Speaking during the post-match interview, Zito admitted the “difficulty” but said it is possible to make a comeback.
“We’ve lost [the first leg], they [Wydad] can also lose there [in Morocco].
“There are certain situations in football that are not impossible but very difficult situations.
“We are now in a difficult situation but not impossible, so fans should be patient.”
Kotoko had defeated Nigeria’s Kwara United 1-0 in Nigeria and ultimately progressed with a 5-3 aggregate scoreline in the first preliminary round.
