Ten leading digital health innovators presented their solutions at the AYA Innovation Challenge Pitch Event on 21st November 2025.
Organised by the AYA Integrated Healthcare Initiative, with a judging panel comprising representatives from the Ministry of Health (MoH) and the Ghana Health Service (GHS), the event advanced efforts to strengthen patient self-care for hypertension and diabetes across Ghana.
Following the independent panel’s decision, Zyptyk Ltd was selected as the overall winner and awarded the €100,000 grant under the AYA Integrated Healthcare Initiative.
This support will enable further development, piloting, and potential national rollout of their digital self-management tool.
The following shortlisted companies participated in the pitching session: Hapa Space Lgb, Zyptyk Ltd, Oxygen Health Technologies, WoW Logbook Ltd, Etihuku Pty Ltd, Medtronics Labs Ghana, Andurar Company Ltd, App N Mobile Solutions Ltd, Qasemo Technologies Ltd, and AO Holdings Ltd.
These innovators were selected from a nationwide call for digital solutions designed to strengthen patient self-management of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and foster collaboration with the GHS to advance Ghana’s healthcare priorities

“The Award is not just a prize, but a commitment to strengthening Ghana’s health system through sustainable, patient-centred digital solutions.”

With the grant award, Zyptyk Ltd will work on refining, testing, and advancing its solution toward potential national adoption.
Hypertension and diabetes remain among the leading health challenges in Ghana, affecting an estimated 30–35% of adults.
The AYA Innovation Challenge is part of a broader effort to strengthen self-management, early detection, and long-term care for non-communicable diseases.
