Ghanaian midfielder Augustine Boakye was in fine form as he registered two assists to inspire Saint-Étienne to a 4-0 win over Rodez in the French Ligue 2 on Saturday.
Baokye was at the heart of Saint-Étienne’s attacking play, as he was the source of goals in the club’s second game of the season.
The former WAFA star was creating chances and linking up with his teammates throughout the match. His vision and precision in the final third proved decisive, as he assisted Irvin Cardona in the 56th minute to make it 3-0 after Joshua Duffus and Mahmoud Jaber had both scored for the home team.
In the 78th minute, he turned up with another assist for Zuriko Davitashvili to put the game beyond the reach of Rodez and extend his side’s lead to four.
The 24-year-old has been growing in influence at Saint-Étienne since the season started contributing directly to four goals in two games.
