The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has issued a warning to criminal elements across the country.
He declared that the Ghana Police Service will not relent in its efforts to bring offenders to justice.
Addressing the media during a security briefing on Wednesday, September 24, the IGP called on the public to remain vigilant and actively support law enforcement efforts by sharing credible information on suspicious individuals and activities.
“I want to take this opportunity to call all members of the public to support the police with information for successful investigations. Let us all be vigilant members of the community and report any suspicious persons or activities to the police,” Mr Yohuno urged.
He further emphasised that the Service remains committed to acting on reliable leads and would continue to reward those who provide valuable intelligence to aid in ongoing investigations.
But the IGP’s strongest message was reserved for those already engaged in criminal activity, making it clear that the Police Service would be unrelenting in its pursuit of justice.
“I would like to assure you that the police will continue to make life uncomfortable for criminal elements in our society,” he said. “We will continue to pursue you till you are brought to justice.”
