President John Dramani Mahama will later today, Tuesday, September 16, launch his government’s flagship infrastructure development initiative, known as the Big Push, at Afienya in the Greater Accra Region.
The programme is a key plank of the president’s long-term vision to modernise Ghana’s infrastructure, with an initial focus on the road network.
The ceremony, set for midday, will feature a sod-cutting event to commence work on the Dawhenya–Afienya–Dodowa road — a major project designed to ease traffic congestion and enhance connectivity within the area.
Government has indicated that the Big Push is expected to deliver transformative infrastructure projects across the country, stimulating economic growth while improving the quality of life for citizens.
