Two former Vols made their respective professional debuts in the NBA 2K25 Las Vegas Summer League for Detroit on Friday.
The Pistons defeated New York, 104-86, at Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Chaz Lanier started and played 25 minutes for Detroit. He totaled 10 points, two rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block. Lanier converted 4-of-11 field goal attempts and 2-of-7 three-point attempts.
He played one season at Tennessee after transferring from North Florida. During the 2024-25 basketball season, the 6-foot-5, 207-pound guard appeared in 38 games, including 38 starts, for the Vols. Lanier averaged 18.0 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game.
Zakai Zeigler also appeared in the contest for the Pistons. He recorded eight points, one rebound, one assist and one steal. Zeigler converted 2-of-4 field goal attempts, 2-of-2 three-point attempts and 2-of-2 free throw attempts.
He played for Tennessee from 2021-25 and helped the Vols advance to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament from 2024-25.
