June 5, 2025 | Southampton
Ghana’s rising star Kamaldeen Sulemana has been honored as Southampton’s PFA Community Champion for his transformative social impact during the 2024/25 season. The winger shares this year’s distinction with Saints women’s team standout Meg Collett.
Saints Foundation Managing Director Sam Fulling hailed both players’ exceptional commitment:
“Kamaldeen and Meg exemplified leadership beyond the pitch. Their dedication to uplifting communities aligns perfectly with our club’s soul.”
Sulemana’s standout contributions:
- Spearheaded youth mentorship programs in Southampton and Ghana
- Championed education initiatives for underprivileged children
- Logged record volunteer hours despite Premier League demands
The 22-year-old, now in his third season since transferring from Stade Rennes, called the award “humbling” and reaffirmed his mission to “use football as a force for change.”
