Inzaghi Bids Emotional Farewell to Inter Milan Amid Saudi Links
June 5, 2025 | Milan
Simone Inzaghi has departed Inter Milan “by mutual agreement,” the club confirmed Wednesday, ending a storied four-year tenure that delivered six trophies. The 49-year-old tactician – appointed in 2021 – is now strongly linked with Saudi Pro League giants Al-Hilal.
In an emotional statement, Inzaghi told Nerazzurri faithful:
“The time has come to say goodbye after a journey where I gave everything. To the millions who cheered, suffered in hard times, and celebrated our six triumphs together—I will never forget you.”
His exit followed decisive talks with Inter management Tuesday. Despite winning Serie A, two Coppa Italia titles, and three Supercoppa trophies, tensions over the club’s future direction prompted the split.
Legacy Highlights:
- First Inter coach to win 5 trophies in 2 consecutive seasons
- Achieved highest win rate (63%) of any manager since 2010
- Guided team to 2024 Champions League final
*Al-Hilal is expected to table a formal offer within 48 hours.*
