The Police in the Kwesimintim District of the Western Region have arrested Anthony Acquah for allegedly murdering his 17-year-old brother, Francis Mensah, at Mampong-Pepease, a suburb of Sekondi.
The incident occurred on Saturday, August 16, 2025, when a misunderstanding reportedly broke out between the suspect and his younger brother around 6:00 p.m. During the altercation, Acquah allegedly stabbed Francis to death.
After committing the act, the suspect went into hiding but was tracked down and arrested at his hideout in Kojokrom near Sekondi on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, following police intelligence.
He is currently in police custody, assisting with ongoing investigations, according to a statement signed by the Head of Public Affairs at the Western Regional Police Command, Superintendent Olivia ET Adiku.
