Belgian lower-tier side Royal Francs Borains have announced the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Emmanuel Essiam for the 2025/26 season.
Essiam signs for the club on a season-long loan deal from Swiss top-flight side Basel as he chases game time for the new season.
The former Black Satellites midfielder is headed for his third loan spell since joining Basel from Berekum Chelsea in 2022.
Essiam initially played Stade-Lausanne-Ouchy during the 2023/24 season before joining FC Aarau for the second half of last season.
The hardworking midfielder hopes Francs Borains will serve as another great opportunity to express himself on the pitch.
“I liked the club’s project. I talked with the director and coach, and everything seemed to be in line with my ambitions. I’m here to reach my full potential, individually and as a team,” he said after being unveiled.
The Belgian side currently sits eighth on the Challenger Pro League table after just two games played, picking up one win in that time.
