John Dumelo, the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, has unveiled an ambitious infrastructure roadmap for the new year, pledging to facilitate the construction of every road within his constituency by the end of 2028.
Marking the beginning of 2026 with a hands-on approach to local development, the legislator characterised road rehabilitation as a cornerstone of his parliamentary mandate.
In a strategic update shared via social media, Mr Dumelo expressed high optimism that the persistent transportation bottlenecks facing residents would be resolved within the next three years.
The MP’s “2028 Goal” reflects a major shift toward aggressive infrastructure development in one of the capital’s most affluent yet geographically diverse districts.
Mr Dumelo emphasised that the success of this project would rely on a synergy between divine grace and active community participation.

In a move that highlights a growing trend of private-sector involvement in municipal projects, Mr Dumelo credited the progress of current roadworks to strategic collaborations.
He specifically lauded private entities for stepping in where traditional municipal budgets often fall short.
One such partnership involves the businessman Max Palasco, whose swift intervention has already seen the commencement of a key link road within the area. Mr Dumelo praised the speed and willingness of private partners to invest back into the community.
“Thanks so much @maxpalasco for the huge support with this particular road. I reached out to you and you didn’t hesitate to support the initiative,” he added.
While the Ayawaso West Wuogon Municipal Assembly typically handles such projects, Mr Dumelo’s personal facilitation suggests a more direct oversight of resource allocation and execution.
Residents have long called for improvements in areas such as Bawaleshie, West Legon, and Shiashie, where rapid urban growth has outpaced road maintenance.
With this renewed focus, the MP is betting on a private-sector-led infrastructure model to meet the high expectations of his constituents as the 2028 deadline approaches.
