The protracted public dispute between self-styled evangelist Patricia Asiedua, widely known as Nana Agradaa, and acclaimed gospel musician Empress Gifty Oppong Adorye has officially ended, with Agradaa formally withdrawing and disowning every allegation she previously made against the musician.
In a move intended to restore peace and correct the public record, Agradaa, through her legal representatives, has admitted that the sensational claims—circulated on social media in May 2025—were entirely false and lacked merit.
Claims Disowned: Allegations Made ‘In the Spur of the Moment’
The formal retraction was issued on Thursday, December 4, 2025, via a statement from Agradaa’s legal firm, Agyaa Asamani Law Consult. The firm revealed that the controversial statements were made “in the spur of the moment”, suggesting they lacked deliberate premeditation but were nonetheless damaging.
Richard Asare Baffour, the lawyer handling the case, publicly emphasised the definitive nature of the withdrawal:
“…the allegations against Empress Gifty were untrue and should not be given any weight.”
This clear admission of falsehood aims to decisively end the public speculation and tension that has characterised the relationship between the two public figures over the past several months.
Restoring Peace: Sincere Apology Issued
Nana Agradaa has followed the legal retraction with a personal, unqualified and sincere apology to the gospel artiste.
The apology acknowledges the profound harm the social media posts inflicted on Empress Gifty’s reputation, professional standing, and personal well-being.
The formal regret extends beyond the musician herself, encompassing Empress Gifty’s family, friends, and colleagues, all of whom were affected by the fallout from the claims.
The lawyers noted that the overarching purpose of the retraction is to “restore peace and correct the public record” following months of highly publicised conflict.
This decisive legal action marks a significant step toward closing the chapter on one of the year’s most high-profile social media feuds.
