MTN Ghana initiates merger of MobileMoney Ltd and MobileMoney Fintech Ltd to meet local ownership requirements

MTN’s MobileMoney Ltd and MobileMoney Fintech Ltd have announced a statutory merger to meet Ghana’s 30% local equity requirement for electronic money issuers under Act 987, with MobileMoney Fintech Ltd set to remain as the surviving entity.
