Gabon Court jails former first lady Sylvia Bongo and son for 20 years over corruption and embezzlement

A Gabon court has sentenced former First Lady Sylvia Bongo and her son Noureddin Bongo to 20 years in prison for embezzlement and corruption, accusing them of exploiting ex-President Ali Bongo’s ill health for personal gain.
