
Ghanaian Communication Leader, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Strategic Communications Africa Ltd (Stratcomm Africa), Esther A. N. Cobbah, has been inaugurated as the President of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA) with effect from 2026.
The ceremony took place during the 2025 IPRA Golden World Awards (GWA) Gala Dinner held at the Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel, Accra.
The event celebrated outstanding public relations campaigns under various categories.
The Vice President of Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyeman graced the event with her presence and warmly welcomed participants to Ghana.
She congratulated IPRA on its 70th Anniversary. She also congratulated Ms Cobbah on her appointment and wished her well.

Present at the event were Public Relations professionals and IPRA members from many countries.
Outgoing IPRA President, Natasa Pavlovic Bujas, congratulated Ms Cobbah on her appointment and said, “Esther Cobbah’s presidency reflects IPRA’s belief in global collaboration. We are confident that her leadership will inspire professionals around the world,”.
Ms Cobbah, who also serves as the current President of the Institute of Public Relations (IPR) Ghana, reaffirmed her commitment to advancing communication that fosters peace, trust, and sustainable development.
“I look forward to working with the international community of Public Relations professionals to build bridges, promote understanding among people and enhance human well-being.
“Together, we can demonstrate that communication rooted in integrity, empathy, and purpose has the power to transform our world.”
